Thema: Mental health of the German general population during times of crisis

Beschreibung:

The recent years were shaped by major crises also affecting the general population. First, the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on daily life through increased risk of infection and containment measures aiming to counter that risk. Then, the start of the war in Ukraine dominated media and affected the economic situation across Europe.

These long-term exposures to mass traumatic events will most likely impact well-being on a population level. The extent and duration of the impact of those crises on the mental health of the German general population are not yet known and are, therefore, the focus of this research.

It will use longitudinal data on mental health assessed with validated questionnaires (e.g. GAD-7, PHQ-9) in the DigiHero cohort.
